vanRaam ontwikkelde een eigen elektrosysteem dat specifiek kan worden aangepast aan de wensen van een gebruiker. “Op een driewielfiets kun je niet zomaar een standaard e-bike motor plaatsen. Het is een compleet ander type fiets en voor veel mensen de enige manier van mobiliteit. Juist daarom moet de ondersteuning betrouwbaar en individueel instelbaar zijn. Bij veel gebruikers spelen stabiliteit, krachtverschil of het op- en afstappen een rol. Het systeem houdt daar rekening mee”, aldus CEO Jan-Willem Boezel.
Made for the way you ride
vanRaam has developed its own electrical system, specifically adapted for each rider.
Jan-Willem Boezel, CEO, explains: "You can't simply fit a standard e-bike motor to a tricycle. It's a completely different kind of bike, and for many people, their only means of mobility. That's precisely why the level of assistance needs to be reliable and adjustable. For many riders, stability, power delivery, and getting on and off all play a role. Our system takes all of that into account."

Easy charging
The magnetic charging connector makes connecting the charger effortless. Hold the plug near the connector, and it clicks into place automatically, no fiddling required.
Easy reverse cycling
Gone a little too far? Need to reverse out of a lift, or just want to park without the hassle? On an electric vanRaam bike, you simply stay seated. Pedal backwards and the bike moves with you, making it easy to turn, manoeuvre into a tight spot, or reposition without ever getting off.
Ready when you are
The electric start assist helps you set off easily for those first few metres, when a little extra power makes all the difference. One press of a button and the bike starts moving. This extra push is useful on a hill, reassuring in traffic, and a small but noticeable pleasure every time.
Adjusts as your needs change
Need more or less support over time, whether through rehabilitation or a changing condition? The system can be readjusted at any point, so you can keep cycling safely and comfortably at every stage.
With the vanRaam e-bike app, you can adjust your bike's assistance programme yourself. Heading somewhere hilly, or going away for a few days? You can easily adjust the assistance level to suit your needs. The app also shows you how far you have cycled and the battery capacity, so you always know how far you can still cycle.
Whisper-quiet by design
The system runs without gears, making it near-silent in use. A quieter ride, and conveniently low maintenance.
